What is a Guardian Home?
It’s a question we hear often—and one we love to answer! A guardian home is a truly special arrangement that benefits both CTDoubleDoodleCrew and the amazing families who participate.
We believe dogs deserve more than a life in kennels during their prime years. At the same time, we know that having too many dogs in one household can make it difficult to give each one the love and attention they deserve. That’s why we’ve created a guardian home program—to give our breeding dogs the chance to live full, happy lives in loving family environments.

Guardian Homes Program
Dogs in our guardian program live with their families for their entire lives, coming back to us only for a few weeks to have and raise their puppies. Once their breeding career is over, they’re spayed or neutered and return permanently to their guardian family to enjoy retirement as a cherished pet. This approach not only gives our dogs the best life possible—it also helps ensure their puppies are well-socialized and learn proper house manners from their moms.
Here’s how it works: when we find a promising puppy we’d like to add to our program, we offer her at a discounted rate and place her with a carefully selected guardian family. The family’s role is simple—provide food, shelter, and plenty of love and care.
We’re always looking for new guardian families to join us as our program grows. If you or someone you know might be interested, we’d love to hear from you!
